Access to Global Outreach - Megan's Trip to Guyana

Restore Global's Director of Access to Global Outreach, Megan Tuttle, is headed to Berbice, Guyana tomorrow in collaboration with International Celebrations and Restore Global. She and her team are using this trip to minister to young women who are either in the women's prison or girls' homes. Through spoken language and music, Megan and her team will be encouraging these young women to realize that they won't be in their current situation forever, and they do have a purpose in life.

If you hadn't already heard, Restore Global has an up-and-coming program called Access to Global Outreach (A2GO) that we brought Megan onto the team to build. As she so eloquently describes, "A2GO is about mobilizing volunteers and missions teams. Its focus is to carry some of the administrative burden allowing our partners, volunteers, and missionaries to focus on their mission to serve." Because of her extensive background in missions work, teaching, and leading the Charlotte Concert Band as President, Megan understands what it takes to coordinate service projects and trips. "A lot of people have the heart to do service work, but they don't necessarily have the skills to do so; that being said, I would like for A2GO to bring efficiency and effectiveness into service projects, volunteer projects, or missions trips."

Over the next two weeks, Megan will be expanding her repertoire of administration and planning as she travels to Guyana. She will be posting on her personal Facebook page (internet allowing) if you're interested in keeping up with her trip as it happens. We will also be doing a follow up blog post on Megan's experience, so please look out for that story in the following weeks as well.

If anyone has the heart to serve but doesn't know if their itinerary will be effective, please contact Megan at megan.tuttle@restoreglobal.org so that she can help plan your next trip or volunteer day.

We wish you the best Megan! Safe travels!
