Restore Global hosted its first ever Access to Impact night earlier this month, and thanks to our team for their dedication and extra hours, the night went better than ever expected. After deciding how we wanted the event to run and feel, we designed an invitation and sent it to our closest friends and partners. To encourage attendance (and to give more people the opportunity to hear from someone we admire), we asked our friend Peter Fox, founding executive producer of ESPN, to speak. With that, we set up the office in anticipation for our guests' arrival, and our team was ready to host.
As the guests began to trickle in, individual members of the Restore Global team took a small group of guests and escorted them around the newly made over office (see previous blog post if you're interested in the transformation), gave them a grand tour of the warehouse, and connected them with potential partners and friends. Hors d'oeuvres were silently devoured, and after some socializing, Restore Global's founder, Steven, began painting a picture of the work we've accomplished, the success stories we've facilitated, and the plans for our future. After encouraging words and inspiring stories, we all had the pleasure of hearing Peter speak about his early days at ESPN and his blossoming nonprofit, Harmony Games. The power of both speeches was so overwhelming, that two of our partners even decided to speak on Restore Global's behalf at night's end. The added inspiration left everyone in the room smiling and excited to watch Restore Global help change the world.
